A new mystery in the world of Robotics, Soul Foundation is a sci-tech thriller serial. As the story unfolds, an enigmatic scientist appears to be working on building a robot that is able to move freely in space and time. He has made friends with many famous people - but his reputation goes into question when one of them turns up dead... This time, we meet a lot of new characters and we get to look into the real goal of Shigeharu Mishima (the creator of Soul Foundation). He wants to prevent an event that happened in space and time called ""The Fall"" from happening again. Now he needs our help in order to accomplish his noble goal. And to make it possible, he needs to gather the scattered energy of the soul of the people who died in this event. However, not all souls are lost forever. One person, whom Shigemura Furuta likes the most and is the only one who can help him to gather those souls, is his former friend and fellow Robotics expert Masaki Tsujimori and best friend and old flame Tomomi Karasawa. As Shigeharu and Masaki begin their weird mission they start up a dark secret which intertwines with everyone else's life. The story begins as Shigeharu finds himself between a rock and a hard place as he must really prove his ability as a Robotics expert. Other characters that appear in Soul Foundation are Shigeharu's younger brother Shigeharu Furuta, the new intern/robotics expert Takahiro Furuta, Zhenzhu Shigemura, Tori Shinoda, Sera Murasaki and Madoka Kamijou. Masaki Tsujimori, Madoka Kamijou and Sera Murasaki also have little roles. # - Continuity Similar to his previous works, writer Eiji Otsuka is very careful with cross brand collaborations. First of all there are the characters of Nujabes ( Nujabes ) who appeared in Soul Foundation . Apart from that, characters of another work of his, BACCANO!, appear in scene. Two other works which share the same world are Last Hope and Wild Adapter . The main protagonists of Last Hope, Shinji Miki and Kenjirou Yamada (Last Hope) , make an appearance.
